So much at stake

I'm talking about favourite tennis player again, Roger Federer (ranked 2nd). He pulled through the semi-final at Wimbledon today marking his 20th Grand Slam final, a record of all time. Today is also his 21st consecutive Grand Slam semi-final, another record. This Sunday, he'll play against either Andy Murray or Andy Roddick. I hope it's Murray because it'll be a classic match up. If it's against Roddick, then Federer is going to win. If Federer wins this Sunday, he'll not only regain his Wimbledon crown (his 6th), but he'll also regain his #1 spot in the tennis world along with the title of "winning the most Grand Slam titles in career" in the history of tennis breaking Pete Sampras' 14 Grand Slam titles. If I'm not mistaken, Pete Sampras won 7 Wimbledon titles, which means that if Federer decides to break this record, he'll need at least 2 more years to break it.

All is not lost for Andy Murray (ranked 3rd). He's facing a great opponent with the same first name: Andy Roddick. Should Murray wins today, he'll be the first British (he's actually Scottish) to reach the Wimbledon final since 1938. Even Queen Elizabeth said she'll attend the finals if Murray wins today. And, if Murray defeats Federer on Sunday, Murray will attain the #1 spot. As for Roddick, I don't really care. He serves really well, but his attitude annoys me. It's not because he's American that I dislike him. When it comes to Americans, I like to watch Venus Williams to play against powerful opponents. It's the attitude for the sport that counts and Roddick shows arrogance. He insulted people in the past with his so-called humour. One of these people is Novak Djokovic from Serbia (ranked 4th). After Roddick's comments, Djokovic stormed and crushed Roddick on the tennis court and even replied with a few remarks of his own to Roddick in front of the crowd. The fans were booing Djokovic after that, and that's fine with him. I like watching Djokovic at the commentators' desk for interview, but I really dislike his attitude on the court as well. I just hate watching Roddick. He should be renamed "rotten d*ck"!

I always hated Roddick. Not just because of his antics and behavior but mainly because the American press put so much hype on him. However, with that being said, he played very well today and defeated an extremely good player in Andy Murray. Honestly, I think King Feds will own Roddick once again come Sunday. I just hope I'm not wrong ;).

Yeah, it's too bad that Murray lost. But Roddick ain't getting away with this as Mr. FedEx will swipe through with about 4 sets.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's going to happen. He's 18-2 all-time vs Roddick.
